Developmental Program Girls Teams

Our Competitive Girls Teams

The Girls Developmental Program (formerly known as J.O.) for girls is designed for competitive gymnasts who wish to advance and potentially compete in the highest levels of the sport. The training at Docksiders is structured so that gymnasts can safely and successfully advance from Level 3 up to Level 10. Docksiders gymnasts have competed at the highest levels of competition with great success, including winning twelve individual national titles. A number of Docksiders have also gone on to compete in the NCAA on full athletic scholarships.

Level 10

Docksiders Gymnastics is well known for its top notch Level 10 gymnasts.  Our Level 10's train 5 days a week for 4 hours at a time for a total of 20 hours per week.  They travel around the country to top level competitions throughout the nation. Our program has incredibly strict standards and a very high level of difficulty.  College recruiters have come to expect the best from gymnasts who come from Docksiders, and they are highly sought after by the top universities in the NCAA. It takes a very dedicated and determined individual to train at this high level.  Docksiders has established a reputation of excellence and the Level 10's live it every day!

Level 9

The Docksiders Level 9 program is the next step towards high level gymnastics.  Our Level 9's train 20 hours a week alongside our Level 10 Team, and all strive to become Level 10's.  In the effort to build towards Level 10, our Level 9s compete some of the more difficult routines in the state. Docksiders has sent many Level 9 gymnasts to the Regional Championships and Eastern National Championships.  We are proud to have had numerous Regional and National Champions at Level 9, and many gymnasts who have gone on to become champion Level 10s.  Level 9 is a great training program that builds strong champions with the desire to succeed.

Level 8

The Level 8s train 5 days per week for a total of 18.5 hours and compete in between 8 to 10 meets, primarily on the East Coast. As seasoned competitors, the Level 8s work on showing off their mastery of optional skills, as well as beginning to compete the higher level skills that will be necessary at the highest levels of competition.

Level 7

The Level 7s train 4 days per week for a total of 15.5 hours and compete in between 8 to 10 meets, primarily on the East Coast. The main emphasis for the Docksiders Level 7s is to continue to develop new skills, while perfecting the basics that are vital to high level competition.

Level 6

Level 6 is the first level of optional competition for Docksiders girls and begins to lay the foundations for optional level gymnastics. Our ladies train 4 days a week for a total of 14.5 hours.  The Level 6 program builds basic skills and develops a solid foundation for optional gymnastics. This enables our gymnasts to enter the optional program with confidence and the desire to succeed.

Level 4

Level 4 is the second level of compulsory gymnastics at Docksiders.  The girls train 4 days a week for approximately 13 total hours.  It is an exciting time for the gymnasts as they prepare for their first meets as seasoned competitors.  Gymnasts generally spend between 1 and 2 years at this level perfecting the skills which are the foundation for all future skills.

Level 3

Level 3 is the first competitive level at Docksiders.  The girls train 3 days a week for approximately 10.5 total hours.  One of these nights is designated specifically to work on skills for the next level.  It's also an exciting time for the gymnasts as they prepare for their first competitions.  Docksiders at this level are learning how to compete and represent our program. Gymnasts generally spend between 1 and 2 years at this level perfecting the skills which are the foundation for all future skills.
