The Level 9 and 10 teams traveled to Lincoln, Rode Island for the Ocean State Classic on March 4, 2011. The Level 10 team placed 1st in the Team competition and the Level 9 team took a 3rd place finish. The top performance came from Krystal Welsh, a senior at Spalding High School who will be joining the Nittany Lions at Penn State University in the fall on a full scholarship. Krystal placed 1st in the Senior Level 10 age group with a 37.375. She also earned champion status on both Balance Beam with 9.675 and Floor Exercise with a 9.55. Many Docksiders teammates placed in the individual standings as well.
Also in the Senior age group at Level 10, Brianna Guy placed 2nd All- Around with a 37.125. Bri placed 1st on Uneven Bars with a 9.525 and 2nd on Vault with a 9.65. Alexis Gross placed 3rd in the All-Around with a 36.875 right behind Bri. This was a clean sweep of 1 -2 -3 in the senior age group for Docksiders, which has been a reoccurring theme throughout this season with these nationally ranked gymnasts. Lex placed 2nd on Uneven Bars with a 9.40 and 2nd on Balance Beam with a 9.575. Heather Atwood placed 2nd on Floor Exercise with a 9.35 and 3rd on Uneven Bars with an 8.95. In the 16 year old age group, Brittany Ricardo was crowded Balance Beam Champion with a 9.275 and placed 3rd on Floor Exercise with a 9.275. In the 14 year old age group, Alex Zois placed 3rd over all with a 33.85 and 2nd on Balance Beam with a 9.20. Miranda Telmanik placed 2nd on Floor Exercise with an 8.05. Senior Chelcie Rosborough assisted in the team win, though only competing on one event due to coming back from an injury.
At Level 9, Elana Spiegler was the top performer placing 2nd in the All-Around in the 15 year old age group with a 35.25. She also placed 2nd on Uneven Bars with an 8.70 and 3rd on Floor Exercise with an 8.85. Emma Staisloff took Champion Status on Balance Beam in the same age group, and placed 2nd on Vault with a 9.375 and 3rd on Uneven Bars with an 8.55. In the 13 year old age group Katie Korvin placed 3rd on both Vault with a 9.375 and Balance Bam with a 9.025.
