Docksiders Level 8 Team Wins at

2010 East Coast Classic

 

Docksiders Gymnastics Level 8 Team won the Team Competition at the East Coast Classic on February 13 held a heldat the Prince Georges Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland. They edged out the 2nd place team by more than a whole point. This is the first team win of the season for this group of girls.

The top individual performer for Docksiders was Elana Spiegler who placed 2nd All-Around with a 35.775 in the Senior age group. She placed 1st on Uneven Bars making her the Champion on that event with a 9.25.  She also placed 2nd on Vault with a 9.075.  In the same age group, Sarah Taylor placed 3rdnd on Uneven Bars with a 9.15.  Sarah Hughes and Amy Milligan both tied for 3rd place on Balance Beam with a 9.0.  In the Junior age group, Jordan Collins placed 3rd on Uneven Bars with a 9.0.  Contributing to the team win were teammates, Courtney Boyle, Julia Gielen, Devin Gromen, Abby Herschman, Hannah Laper, and Sarina Troese. All-Around with a 35.60 and took 2 

The Level 8 team will be traveling with the Level 9 & 10 teams to Raleigh, North Carolina this weekend February 20 & 21st for the Sweetheart Invitational held at North Carolina University.  For more information about Docksiders Team or other programs they offer go to www.docksidersgymnastics.com.
