Docksiders Puts Together a Great Show

at Parkettes Invitational

 

Docksiders Gymnastics Optional teams traveled to Allentown, Pennsylvania for the Parkettes Invitational and placed well.  The Level 10 Team took 3^rd in this prestigious competition and several individual awards were earned.

In the Level 10 competition Toi Garcia had a stand out performance earning 3^rd place in the all-Around with a 37.60.  She also placed 2^nd on both Vault, with a 9.675, and Floor Exercise with a 9.425.  Rachel Fincham took 3^rd on Uneven Bars with a 9.475 and Betsy Zander placed 3^rd on Balance Beam with a 9.275. Rounding out the team of 4 in the Team competition was Alexis Gross, who had her top All-Around score to date with a 37.25.  In an earlier session Brianna Guy placed 3^rd on Vault with a 9.525.

In the Level 9 division Emily Bowen took 2^nd place All-Around for the 12-14 age group with a 35.85.  She also took 1^st on Balance Beam with a 9.275, 2^nd on Vault with a 9.175, and 3^rd on Bars with an 8.80.  Amanda Castle finished 3^rd in the All-Around in the 15+ age group with a 34.975 and her Docksiders teammate Monica Durham placed 1^st on Uneven Bars with a 9.35.  In the 10-11 year old age group Noelle DeCesare placed 3^rd in the All-Around with a 34.75.  She also took 2^nd on Uneven Bars with an 8.50 and 3^rd on both Vault, with an 8.825, and Floor Exercise with an 8.925.

In the Level 7 division Carolyn Bailey took 2^nd place on Balance Beam with a 9.20.  Camryn Rosen took 3^rd place on both Vault with an 8.85 and Balance Beam with an 8.65.  For Level 8 Shelby Atwood placed 3^rd on Vault with an 8.70.
