Mason Dixon is an additional competitive program that we
are excited to add to Docksiders. The mission of the program is " To
provide gymnasts with an opportunity to compete at their highest level
of achievement , in an atmosphere of friendship and fun". The program
offers gentler guidelines than the USAG Junior Olympic program and
allows gymnasts to compete on individual events if they desire rather
than as an All Arounder, though the All Around option is available as
well. The level is much less intense and therefore the training
requirements are not as strict. The goal for Docksiders is to help keep
gymnasts in the sport that they love to compete in even if their
commitment cannot be at the same level as the JO program. This group
trains no more than 4 or 5 hours a week and they attend 5-6 meets
through out the season with the emphasis on fun, teamwork, and
sportsmanship.
